Although our main focus is in product design and development, we generally love to create and experiment with new ideas. That’s why we like to take on projects in different fields, ranging from small magazine editorial design to a custom-design nightclub bar station.
Soohun believes that, in all experiences, there are precious values to be discovered, and a collection of different experiences become refined to bring life to good design. Staying away from familiar comfort, he enjoys trying out new things, and rather than lingering on thoughts, he approaches everything head-on with an impromptu state-of-mind. He learns the rules, in order to break them and to gain a deeper meaning and insight. Having studied product design and metal & wood crafts during college, Soohun went onto work as an industrial designer for TEAGUE, a design firm founded in 1926 and one of the largest agencies today, before founding BEBOP.
Rich obsesses on living a productive lifestyle. He thinks in systems and likes to seek specific experiences. He suffers from romantic nostalgia and futuristic imaginations, where he finds inspiration by distillation of both. With a critical thinking mindset, he focuses on creating an emotional impact to user experiences. Rich uses design as a platform that enables unique experiences and enriches people’s lives. Growing up in both the US and South Korea, Rich went straight to studying product design. With a Masters Degree in design & research, he worked as an industrial designer in Samsung Electronics and Felixheck Design, before founding BEBOP.
